We sample integral color and release agents against your actual stone, brick, and roof rather than a catalog page, because pigment reads differently under Texas sun than under a showroom light.

North Texas UV is the enemy of decorative color, so every stamped pour gets sealed to close the surface and hold the pigment, with a slip additive blended in wherever the slab lives around water.
Stamped work keeps its depth of color through periodic resealing, and we say so at the estimate. You get the cadence in writing on day one, not as a surprise in year three.

A slab textured with pattern mats while the mix is still workable, then colored to read as stone, slate, or brick, all poured as one continuous surface. Unlike pavers there are no sand joints to weed and no individual units to tilt out of plane as the ground shifts beneath them.
Stamped and decorative work generally starts around $14 to $22 per square foot in North Texas, moving with pattern complexity, the number of color layers, and the sealing scope, on top of whatever the base conditions require. The price gets settled after we walk the space; a number quoted blind over the phone is not one we would stand behind.
On soil that swells and shrinks, pavers tend to settle unevenly and grow weeds at the joints, while stamped work rides a reinforced slab built for the movement. The trade is maintenance type: stamped wants resealing on a cycle, pavers want releveling and joint upkeep. We will lay out both honestly against your yard and your patience.
The sun pulls at every pigment out here, which is why we use integral color rather than a thin surface tint and keep it under sealer. On a reseal cadence the finish stays rich; skip the cadence and the south and west exposures will show it first. We tell you that before you buy, not after.
It can finish smoother than broom texture, so for pool decks and walkways we blend a non-slip additive into the sealer and pick patterns with usable texture. Where wet feet are the daily reality, we will point out exactly which zones want the extra grip.
Driveways, motor courts, walkways, and borders all take decorative treatment, always on a slab rated for the vehicle loads first. Stamped bands and borders around a broom-finish field are also a sharp-looking middle path when the full-surface price does not fit the budget.
